Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 April 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Billdrop ("the Service"), an online invoicing platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided by Billdrop. If you have questions, contact us at support@billdrop.app.
2. The Service
Billdrop lets you create, manage, and send invoices and estimates. The Service is available in two tiers:
- Free — invoice creation, PDF download, limited saved invoices and clients, available without an account.
- Pro — unlimited invoices and clients, recurring invoices, email sending, analytics, and additional features.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account or let others access the Service through your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring payments until you cancel.
- Prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. To exercise this right, contact us at support@billdrop.app.
After the 14-day cooling-off period, no refunds are provided for partial billing periods. You may still cancel at any time and continue using Pro until the end of your paid period.
6. Your data and content
You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including invoice content, client details, and uploaded logos. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service (e.g. rendering invoices, sending emails on your behalf).
You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoices you create. We do not verify invoice amounts, tax calculations, or compliance with any financial regulations.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- Send fraudulent or misleading invoices
- Harass, spam, or abuse others
- Distribute malware or attempt to compromise the Service
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Resell, sublicence, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Billdrop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We are not liable for:
- Losses arising from errors in your invoices (including incorrect amounts, tax calculations, or late fees)
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Loss of data beyond what is within our reasonable control
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are entitled to bring a claim in your local courts under consumer protection law.
